The Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park "Friends Across the Mountains" Telethon is held in August and is televised on WBIR-TV, Channel 10 (Knoxville, TN) and WLOS-TV, Channel 13 (Asheville, NC). Donations can be made online and have been made by calling the 800 Number provided by Access America. Access America provided 800 Number services for the telethon to the Friends of the Smokies "Friends Across the Mountains" Telethon for seven years.
